Peace and Blessing, SR Tribe! Welcome back to another episode of the BEST PODCAST EVER- The Sophisticatedly Ratchet Podcast!
Today our Outspoken Introvert- Sly Boogie leads the team in moderation as we talk about the many faces of exploitation and unpack how it is prevalent today. Exploitation is defined as the action or fact of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their work. We can all agree that historically Black people have been exploited globally and continue to endure. However, here in the Americas specifically - under the most horrific and atrocious circumstances, our people continue to gracefully hurdle the bullshit and pioneer every facet of this society since our kidnapping.
Over time we have become very familiar with exploitation and calling it out from Military recruiters stationed in black poverty stricken neighborhoods, to Record label executives ripping off talented black artists, Credit card salespeople soliciting applications to penniless black college student and NCAA’s refusal to pay players- robing predominantly Black Athletes’ of Opportunity to Build Generational Wealth just to name a few... Pull up, tune in and join us as we discuss “Own That Shit -The Many Faces of Exploitation”
