Peace peace, FAMILY!!!! Welcome to the final episode of The Sophisticatedly Ratchet Podcast for 2020!
This year has been a rough one to say the least and the general consensus was to cancel 2020 because of the shenanigans we faced this year.
We experienced a Global pandemic that literally reshaped our world- New City was hit extremely hard, racial tensions and police brutality hit a new high pushing the plight of Black people to the front of the conversation in media, President Trump was on 10 with the BULLSHIT, and we reluctantly said goodbye to a slew of monumental figures this year to mention a few moments.
2020 gave us a million reasons to be thankful and no one could have seen this coming. So in this episode we take some time to recap our highs and lows of this year.
Here at Sophisticatedly Ratchet, we want to thank everyone who has ever listened in and supports us. We are humbled to have gathered listeners from across the globe, from Canada, Austria, UK, Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, French Gyana to Lithuania, South America and Mexico. And of course, we want to send a big shout out to people in our hometown NEW YORK!!!
We appreciate y'all and thanks for making our first year a huge success! Now please pull up, tune in and and join us as we discuss The SR Recap 2020!!!
Oh and Happy new year!!!

Passion Vs. Addiction
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
Wednesday Dec 09, 2020
What's good Sophisticatedly Ratchet Family?! On this week’s episode of The Sophisticatedly Ratchet Podcast, we unpack the difference between passion and addiction.
Passion derives from intense emotion. When people are passionate it means that they are motivated and willing to go the extra mile to achieve their goal. If people feel a lack of passion for any activity they will usually find it to be dull and tedious.
There is no exact definition of addiction that is agreed upon by everyone. Today addiction tends to be overused when referring to relatively harmless overindulgences, or others like use of social media, sex, sugar, or drugs.
Have you ever been passionate about something that can be seen as an addiction? Have you ever been guilty of being addicted to Money, Sex, or Drug? Pull up, tune in and join us as we discuss “Passion vs Addiction”!
